Watch Wednesday

http://tinyurl.com/3tv2tyb

This weeks Watch Wednesday is a gorgeous Chanel timepiece that is almost as timeless as Chanel itself. To be completely honest my mouth waters just picturing this 38 mm ceramic watch with 18k pink gold adornments elegantly encompassing my wrist. However this beautiful accessory has a price tag not meant for the faint of heart. A four digit number is attached to this watch totaling $8,280. Did I mention the face is diamond encrusted? Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?

A Fabulous Find and a Fabulous Vacation

I recently returned from a long overdue holiday in Southern Florida on the island of Key West. I spent a majority of my time at my resort, the Waldorf Astoria, by their pools and private beach. The area was beautiful and was secluded from the Orlando commotion. Unfortunately, good shopping was scarce however I did find two boutiques that sold gorgeous silk maxi dresses, cotton tunics, and jewelery. While I was there I noticed a large selection of turquoise pieces and just had to check them out. I found a ring that I immediately fell in love with due to my infatuation with cocktail rings and statement jewelry. I was slightly disappointed that the ring was not authentic silver however the turquoise was real so I caved in and purchased it. Large rings are a fabulous edition to a relatively simple outfit, giving it an edge and a pop. If you are looking for a cheap alternative, check out your Forever 21 and their large costume jewelry selection. If you're opting for a piece of value visit local boutiques and vintage shops to find one of a kind finger candy. Photos of the ring are pictured below.

"What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course" - Marilyn Monroe

In a recent stop at Marshalls with no specific purchases in mind, I ended up discovering a great print that I just could not pass up. The print was an Andy Warhol style image of Marilyn Monroe which can often can appear tacky however somehow this specific print managed to remain classic and edgy. In early September I moved, giving me the opportunity to rethink how I wanted to set up my bedroom and the feel I wanted it to have. Even after seven months I am still working on it and have steadily become more and more happy with it. I intend on continuing to document items or furniture I add to my room and my organization methods for those living in apartments. Below are two snapshots of my fabulous find

Skincare Regime

I've always been interested in what people use on their skin daily.  Some women swear by department store products, others have been using the same Cetaphil moisturizing lotion since high school. I however, have yet to find the perfect skin regime for my skin. Because of my age I occasionally deal with hormonal acne that is common during teens and early twenties. My skin is extremely temperamental, depending on the day my skin can be clear and a perfect canvas, and other days it can be congested and dry. Although irritating, I continue to search for products that suit my face. I have been using a combination of two products recently that I have yet to make a final decision on however I have been able to create a pro and con list for each

Biore: Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser

Pros

 - has a cooling affect
 - depending on the severity of a breakout, this cleanser can slightly diminish the appearance
 - the bottle has quite a bit of product, I have had this cleanser for about four months now
 - hygienic and easy to use container

Cons

 - sometimes shows results, and sometimes doesn't
 - could irritate sensitive skin because of cooling sensation

Cetaphil: Moisturizing Cream

Pros

 - this tub will last me until my final year of college...but actually
 - noncomedogen, meaning Cetaphil's cream will not break you out
 - can be used on face as well as body for intense hydration
 - sinks into skin effectively

So far I have not found any cons!

So wrapping up my post about my two latest skincare finds, I intend on continually updating all of you as I continue to test out new products and if you have any questions feel free to comment below!

Watch Wednesday

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41N4RejEwLL._SS340_.jpg

A watch is the most timeless piece of fashion (no pun intended) that can be purchased. Watches will never become "out of style". A watch can complete a outfit, whether it be fun and playful, or classy and sophisticated. Unfortunately, many watches run in the several hundred dollar range and above. So for now I simply drool over many of them. One of them being Juicy Couture's "Queen Couture" watch priced at $350. With a white leather band and encrusted Swarovski crystals, Juicy's watch is an absolutely gorgeous piece to add to any girls collection.
